About Me

Meet the founder of the 17 by 17 Challenge

Who I Am

My name is Grace Totten, and I am 16 years old. I believe the world needs change, and I want to do everything I can to be part of that change. I apply myself through community involvement and fundraising efforts. For example, I organized a fundraiser called "Cardboard for Kitty," an initiative where participants build creative cardboard structures to raise awareness and funds for animal welfare.

Beyond fundraising, I am actively involved in many school extracurricular activities that allow me to develop my leadership skills and give back to my community. Most importantly, I am the founder of the 17 by 17 Challenge — a youth-led initiative where I aim to complete all 17 United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UNSDGs) before I turn 17 on June 24, 2026. Through this challenge, I hope to inspire others to take action, no matter their age, and prove that small steps can create big change.

What is 17 by 17?

The 17 by 17 Challenge is a youth-led initiative where I try to complete all 17 UN Sustainable Development Goals before turning 17 on June 24, 2026. The project is a social media challenge to inspire other young people to take action.

My goal is to raise awareness, encourage action, and prove that one person can make a difference. Through this challenge, I want to show that age is not a barrier to creating positive change in the world.
